This seems like a complete gem of a movie! www.imdb.com/title/tt0169639/From the few but gushing reviews alone it's easy to see how much people love it. Yet, no DVD and only a few rare NTSC video copies in circulation. Finding an online copy is pretty much impossible. Believe me, I've looked! Brief stint on Netflix instant, but no longer there, either. Brilliant little dance scene that actually made me want to learn the Mambo has mysteriously vanished from YouTube. Fortunately, this much remains: If anybody has seen the movie, this is the thread for it. If anybody knows where to find it, this is definitely the thread for it!

I have seen the movie. I HAVE the movie, both on VHS and a bootlegged DVD I bought online that someone snagged it from an airing on the Encore channel. The dance scene is still there, but not viewable in some countries due to copyright on the music. There's also this sweet tiny little scene: The movie is a bit uneven, but Sean it totally adorable of course, and I think the scene you posted is brilliantly acted and edited!

Sadly, 'some countries' includes mine. Still would love to find some DVD copy, even if it's a bootleg. That second scene is too cute!

I have Boy meets Girl and while there are some amazing moments, I am afraid it is not one of my favorites. Mainly, because I think that the director and writer of the movie were trying to make a point that I am missing. I always wonder what the subtext is that I am missing because it FEELS like there should be a subtext.......

I've seen it. I think I have it...somewhere. Not my favorite Sean film, I have to admit but he's good as he always is. Kind of fluffy for me.

I'm kind of a sucker for fluffy rom-com type of stuff most of the time (provided it tells a good story). I tend to forgive some leaps in logic here and there, and even if Boy Meets Girl was the most non-sensical thing thing the world, I'd probably love it. The whole thing just seems to have a lot of warmth and some sort of old-fashioned mystical vibe to it that looks very compelling (and yeah, of course there is Sean, dancing, elements of magic, Emily Hampshire seems like she's doing a good job, the dialogue sounds really cute and funny). Hell, I've never even seen a trailer and I'm dying to see it.
